What a find. A really friendly, classy local with an excellent range of unusual beers & a menu full of classic dishes with 'that' little twist. When I was there they had Fullers Porter, a Brains beer, Greene King IPA & another couple of tasty, smaller brewery offerings. Much as I love Harveys, I was pleased to see the landlord was staying majorly 'off piste' & didn't have it! Mussels, salmon & capers, hearty pies and unusual black pudding salads were just some of the excellent offerings. I understand they also run a number of ale festivals through the year.
This place is really worthy of your support. -

turned up one sat lunchtime in sumer, only to be told we are closing in rude fashion. what sat lunchtime in summer!! what pub does that! I wont bother returning
